DAY DREAMING IN DENIM
I had fun in this denim on denim look I wore today. I used to be so hesitant to wear denim on denim or print on print or all bright colors. But with every passing year as I get younger and younger my hesitations are turning into a whole lot of "why not baby?" Fashion is fun. It should be an extension of who I feel I am today. Today I was Kelly Kapowski vibe-ing in my denim jean jacket, denim short shorts and full bodied hair! Why not? Yes I am too young to have caught the original Saved By the Bell t.v. series! Yes I have still have a crush on baby Mark Paul Gosselaar! Yes I wasn't cool enough to make cheerleading in high school! But this is what makes fashion FUN, for a few hours today I got to play dress up and be exactly who I wanted to be. Freedom.
Here are three other jean denim jackets out now that have me feeling all sorts of ways!
I love the varsity feel to this Top Shop jean jacket. Its not too precious. It's funky and practical. I would wear it over a black slip lace dress, gold Giuseppe Zanotti strappy heels and on a night out at St Ambrose here in New York City. Very Carrie Sex in the City!
I like this Gap sleepless jacket because it makes me think. Okay no sleeves. Got it. No shirt underneath, first few buttons undone ? Your boyfriends large white t-shirt schlepped underneath? Buttoned up and thrown over white pants? ... Why not Baby?
You will be distressingly cool in this Ralph Lauren number. The lighter wash adds an easy touch to any look. This is a good one.
